Enterprise & Supplier Development

See the Programme Clearly, from Delivery to Evidence

Can you see what has been delivered, what evidence is still missing, what needs management attention and who needs to act next?

The Capption ESD Programme Analyzer is a structured approach to reviewing a completed Enterprise and Supplier Development programme. It compares what was intended, what happened, the evidence available and the next action justified by that evidence. It is not an audit or B-BBEE verification.

Programme Review

One completed programme ยท step 3 of 4

  1. What was delivered?Interventions recordedEvidence held
  2. What did businesses implement?Implementation records gatheredEvidence held
  3. What change was observed?Supporting record still to be reviewedIn review
  4. Did the change last?Follow-up evidence not yet requestedNext action
Illustrative example โ€” not client data.

Who the Discussion Is For

ESD implementation organisations and programme managers who need to connect programme delivery, evidence and management visibility.

It may also be relevant to sponsor or funder reporting needs, where the programme context supports it.

What We Explore

Six questions about one completed programme.

  • What was the programme intended to achieve?
  • What activities and interventions were delivered?
  • What was implemented by the participating businesses?
  • What evidence exists, and what remains uncertain?
  • What decisions or corrective actions followed?
  • Is there a worthwhile next step for Capption to support?

Delivery Is One Part of the Picture

A delivered intervention, implementation in a business, an observed outcome and sustained improvement are different things. The review keeps those questions separate, so that an activity count is not presented as proof of a lasting result.

  1. DeliveredThe intervention took place
  2. ImplementedThe business applied it
  3. Outcome ObservedA change was seen
  4. SustainedThe change lasted

Each step needs its own evidence. One does not prove the next.

A Useful Answer Can Be a Small Answer

The review is intended to test fit. It may show strong existing controls, a narrow gap, a need for more evidence or no material role for Capption. It is not designed to prove that a participant needs new software.

How to Start

Three steps, in this order.

  1. Discuss One Programme

Discuss one completed programme and the question you need answered.

  2. Agree Scope and Handling

Agree the bounded scope and the information-handling arrangements.

  3. Review and Decide

Review the available evidence and identify a justified next step, if any.

Please start with a general description. Do not email confidential programme, client or beneficiary records before the handling arrangements have been agreed.

The Limits of the Review

The Analyzer is not an audit, legal opinion, formal assurance or B-BBEE verification. Participation does not commit you to buying or implementing Capption software. Any later implementation is separately scoped and agreed.
